Our definition of care extends beyond the medical treatment we provide to foster a sense of unity and inclusion in the communities we serve. MedWise^® Urgent Care outreach initiatives enable staff to engage with people outside of the clinic, creating a place at which everyone feels welcome.

MedWise raises 40K in 2022 United Way Campaign

The 2022 United Way Campaign kicked off with Youth Services of Tulsa (YST) hosting MedWise for Quarterly meetings where employees not only received updates on MedWise but also were given a tour of YST facilities to gain a better understanding of what they bring to the community and youth.

MedWise partners with Safe Place

Safe Place is known as a national nonprofit that gives safety to distressed or threatened youth under 18 across the U.S.

Okmulgee welcomes MedWise in annual Holiday parade

As MedWise prepares for the opening of one of its newest clinics, the city of Okmulgee opened its city to us during its annual Festival of Lights parade.

MedWise Becomes Community Partner with Emergency Infant Services: Mobile Unit

MedWise has opened its parking lot to Emergency Infant Services (EIS) mobile unit at 3 clinic locations once a month. EIS is a non-profit that focuses on providing supplies to those that are need of products and services for children. Most recently EIS launched a new mobile unit program that would allow those in need to go to a site and receive formula, wipes, and diapers for those in need.

The clinics that will have the Mobile Unit on site include our locations in Woodland Hills, Sand Springs, and Admiral. For more information on Emergency Infant Service please visit www.eistulsa.org

MedWise inspires youth through Junior Achievement Inspire (JA Inspire)

MedWise was pleased to get out and engage with students to tell the story of what made our healthcare professionals fall in love with Healthcare and MedWise. Ja Inspire is a place where it brings not only local schools together but also the businesses in the community as a whole. The students that participated in the event have the opportunity to get more information about careers that may interest them enough to start their education route towards their career choice.

The event also allows the students to ask questions, make connections, and collect information about a career with MedWise while also learning about other career opportunities in the same room.
MedWise had a booth where we had Fairdy Lara ( Medical Assistant) and Jessica Stadler ( APRN, FNP-C, ENP-C, CNP) provide a deeper insight of what it is like to work at MedWise and what a career in Healthcare looks like as far as education and day to day life. MedWise chose to educate the students on how to read an x-ray by going through the ABC’s of X-Rays. Through the presentation, they were able to review Adequacy & Alignment, Bones, Cartilage, and Soft tissue.
“ Being able to represent MedWise by sharing my passion for healthcare was a privilege.” Says Fairdy Lara. “To be the first insight of healthcare to many of them and seeing their face light up with excitement while teaching them how to read an x-ray was very rewarding.”

Here is a small recap of #’s we helped inspire:

•             3,511 8th grade students came to JA Inspire
•             16 school districts were on-site
•             25 schools were represented
•             72 buses carrying students

One 8^th grade attendee said, “I liked being able to have genuine conversations with people about real careers and the requirements for their fields.”
