MedWise Urgent Care has an ongoing need for Medical Assistants. MedWise exists to use empathy as a driver of improved patient care. Across the network of clinics in the Tulsa area, MedWise Medical Assistants serve a pivotal role in generating a positive patient experience through initiating exams, assisting with procedures, performing lab testing and coordinating the patient’s movement through the phases of care within the clinic. This role can be part time or full time and is open to medical assistants, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics, radiology technicians, patient care technicians, nursing students, nurse assistants and certified/registered medical assistants. MedWise Urgent Care is accepting applications for the position of Physician Lead. MedWise exists to use empathy as a driver of improved patient care. Across the growing network of clinics in the Tulsa MSA, MedWise Physician Leads provide quality control and clinical guidance for providers involved in direct patient care. Responsibilities include in-person observation and training, reviews of clinical documentation for quality metrics, analysis of aggregate data to guide quality improvement projects and participation in regular quality assurance meetings. This is a part-time role that involves close partnership with advanced practice providers and corporate leaders. Qualifications include: MD or DO with active medical license in Oklahoma, willingness to serve as supervising physician for advanced practice providers, and board certification in family medicine, emergency medicine or the combination of internal medicine and pediatrics. Patient Experience Coordinator
The Patient Experience Coordinator position is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive patient experience at MedWise; greeting and assisting patients with check in, payment, gathering patient information, and inputting information into the electronic medical record system; applying knowledge of MedWise’s policies and procedures in order to maintain the patient file, medical records, prepare forms, verify information, and resolve routine clinic problems. All shall be done in compliance with the philosophy of MedWise, as well as the standards of practice and regulations of government agencies. The requirements for this position include: High school graduate / GED / vocational training equivalency. Current American Heart Association BLS certification. Valid state/government issued identification. Six (6) months of employment with QuikTrip. People-oriented, organized, and the ability to work independently. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Professional demeanor. Ability to prioritize tasks. Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy. Ability to read and interpret common medical reports, financial reports, and other documents. Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Advanced Practice Provider
MedWise Urgent Care is accepting applications for the position of Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant). MedWise exists to use empathy as a driver of improved patient care. Across the growing network of clinics in the Tulsa MSA, MedWise APPs provide direct care to patients in need of acute, non-emergent care. APPs are responsible for the compassionate delivery of high-quality care to adults and children of all ages. Services include physical examinations, venipuncture, splinting, suturing and appropriate use of diagnostic testing. APPs collaborate with Physician Leads to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered across the enterprise. Qualifications include: NP or PA with active license in Oklahoma, BLS, OBNDD/DEA and experience in family practice or urgent care.
Occupational Medicine Physician Lead
MedWise Urgent Care is accepting applications for the position of Occupational Medicine Physician Lead. MedWise exists to use empathy as a driver of improved patient care and seeks to develop relationships focused on the prevention of injury and the promotion of safe work environments. The Occupational Medicine Physician Lead will provide direct care to patients who have had their health impacted by work or their work impacted by health. Responsibilities for this full-time position will include: oversight of care provided by advanced practice providers, direct patient care to employees of MedWise’s partners, oversight of Occupational Medicine throughout MedWise’s network of clinics and leadership within the various worker’s compensation programs with which MedWise is affiliated. Qualifications include: MD or DO with ability to obtain unrestricted active medical license in Oklahoma and willingness to serve as supervising physician for advanced practice providers. Although board certification in Occupational Medicine is preferred, consideration will be given to physicians who complement their board certification in another specialty with sufficient work experience in the field of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
