Physical Exams
What Types of Physical Exams Does MedWise® Urgent Care Provide?
Physical exams are essential for evaluating overall health and determining if individuals can safely perform certain activities. At MedWise® Urgent Care, we offer a variety of physicals, including sports, school, camp, and some pre-employment physicals. Please contact us to confirm if we can meet your specific needs.
SPORTS PHYSICAL
Many school districts require physical exams prior to enrollment in sports or other extracurricular activities. A sports physical helps determine if an individual can physically participate in a sport safely.
A sports physical at MedWise® Urgent Care may include a complete physical health examination, height and weight measurement, range of motion testing, blood pressure and pulse measurement, and visual acuity screening.
During a sports physical, MedWise® providers will focus on the health of your heart, lungs, bones, and joints. MedWise® Urgent Care provides sports physicals for just $27.
SCHOOL PHYSICAL
For children returning to school, a physical exam helps evaluate their overall health, including vision, hearing, and any underlying medical conditions. Please bring a list of your child’s medications and any eyeglasses they wear.
Note: MedWise® does not perform routine childhood vaccinations. Please contact us to confirm if we can meet your child’s specific needs.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT
SomeEMPLOYERS require a physical exam after a job offer is made. At MedWise® Urgent Care, pre-employment physicals assess your ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
These exams typically include a review of your medications, an assessment of heart, lung, and joint function, and measurements of height, weight, and blood pressure.
CAMP PHYSICAL EXAMS
Some camps require a pre-participation physical to ensure campers can safely engage in activities like swimming and hiking. MedWise® providers evaluate overall health and screen for any concerns that may affect camp participation.
Be sure to check with camp administrators for specific requirements before scheduling.
